SESSION: SKATE SIM: NEW CONTENT AND A NINTENDO SWITCH™ VERSION AVAILABLE SOON

A few days after the release of SessionSkate Sim and in response to requests from the community, Crea-ture and NACON want to share information on the next updates planned for the game. Several patches and extra content will be available in the coming weeks and months as the development and publishing teams aim to set the benchmark for all skateboarding games with SessionSkate Sim.

Among the various patches that will be released regularly as part of the continued development of the game, the first was already released on October 7th, bringing in some quality-of-life improvements to the user experience on all platforms and resolving a bug that prevents certain tricks from being performed correctly on Xbox.

Crea-ture Studios is now working on restoring legacy controls to the game. These controls were added to the game in the Early Access period but were subsequently removed to allow the team to focus on the classic controls that are part of SessionSkate Sim‘s identity. After feedback from some players who want these controls restored, the team is committed to adding the controls back into the game very soon.

Later in the year, more free updates will come to the game and bring new features that the team is excited to share:

  • Porting the game to Unreal Engine 5. It will provide the team with more robust tools, allowing them to improve the features in V1 while also establishing the foundation for future updates.
  • Difficulty curve: the team is working on smoothing the onboarding of the game, this involves changes to the mission system and general alterations to improve the experience for all players.

A DLC will also be arriving at the end of the year and will contain a new map, one of the most popular pro skaters, new missions as well as some new gear.

SessionSkate Sim is already available on PC, PS5TM, PS4 TM and Xbox Series X|S, and will be coming to Nintendo Switch™ in the first quarter of 2023. Considerable work has gone into adapting the Nintendo Switch controls, especially the triggers used for turns, which will provide the optimal skateboarding experience.

More details on improvements to the game and its content will be shared in the coming weeks.
